The seminar was organized by MULTI EFFORT (Multiple Eco-Friendly Forest Use: Restoring Traditions) -project (Karelian Enpi CBC-program) in conjunction with Finnish Forest Research Institute and The Ministry of Interior Affairs.
The seminar was rendered successful as KARLANDS project lengthened its contacts and also offered noveleat ideas about future cooperation possibilities e.g. in creation of Finnish-Russian forest database to help calculation of forest fire risk in the border area. ENPI KARLANDS could offer the communication platform including the database. The idea was highly regarded. (In the photo: Project co-ordinator Eugene lopatin answering to interested audience.
